This is the official web site of the Twitter event known as meteorwatch for the Perseid and Geminid Meteor showers in 2009. Through these events thousands of people worldwide, were encouraged to go outside and look up. For some people it was the first time they ever saw a meteor or meteor shower, for others it rekindled an interest in astronomy.
Meteorwatch.org is a central point of information for future Meteorwatch events and a reference guide for general Astronomy and meteor related information.
